Kingsville Painter’s Guild

Join us for Kingsville Painter’s Guild, an evening of art practice which is open format and non-instructional. Kingsville Painter’s Guild is held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre. Runs from January to June, with a break for the summer, and begins again for November and December. Each session offers the chance to paint and draw from life. This is a meditative practice in a quiet group setting, concentrating on the rendering of still life, portrait and figurative subjects. Participants must supply their art materials which may include:

  • A lightweight floor easel and drawing /painting surface or clipboard for your paper etc.
  • Drawing/painting materials of your choice. Tables and chairs are provided.
  • A notebook.
  • You may bring your own objects to set up for a still life if you like.
  • If you prefer to listen to music while you work, please use earbuds or headphones and set cell phones to “vibrate.”

WIFF Under the Stars

What started as a response to being unable to hold the Festival in 2020 and 2021, has evolved into a yearly outdoor community event. WIFF Under the Stars is held over one weekend in the summer where WIFF screens films all day over the weekend, free for all to enjoy. A main focus of the initiative for WIFF is to give back to the community that makes us a successful organization year-over-year and to increase the accessibility of great films.

In 2025, WIFF will host the free outdoor, three-day WIFF Under the Stars event at the front lawn of the Aquatic Centre from Friday, June 13 – Sunday, June 15. By setting up a 20’ LED screen, we turn the lawn space into an ultimate summer film experience. WIFF will screen 23 films including festival favourites, summer blockbusters, and Canadian programming among others.

Bring your blankets and chairs, friends and family, and enjoy a weekend of amazing movies. Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase, including popcorn from What’s Poppin’, and soda from the Soda Pop Bros, two local businesses.

Friday Night Lights Bike Ride

Enjoy the sight of colourfully lit cyclists roll through the streets, bells clacking, as they partake in a pub crawl on two wheels appropriately named Friday Night Lights and always try to outdo each other with their decorations on each ride.

One of the most fun, unique things to do in Windsor, Ontario! Friday Night Lights is a free weekly bicycle ride that will light up the night.

Riders will meeting up and check-in/register at 6:30pm at 400 Erie St. E. in Windsor, Ontario. Arrive early and enjoy some great food and drink on the patio. At 7:00pm, we then take guests out on the town to explore the night life in Windsor. The catch: since it’s a night ride you’ll need lights on your bike. The more lights the better!

Simply put, Friday Night Lights is a pub and grub crawl on two wheels throughout the city of Windsor. While not mandatory, we encourage guests to deck out their bikes in bright lights to light up the night and enjoy the company of good folks and the flavours of great establishments we visit along the way.

WIFF Under the Stars

What started as a response to being unable to hold the Festival in 2020 and 2021, has evolved into a yearly outdoor community event. WIFF Under the Stars is held over one weekend in the summer where WIFF screens films all day over the weekend, free for all to enjoy. A main focus of the initiative for WIFF is to give back to the community that makes us a successful organization year-over-year and to increase the accessibility of great films.

In 2025, WIFF will host the free outdoor, three-day WIFF Under the Stars event at the front lawn of the Aquatic Centre from Friday, June 13 – Sunday, June 15. By setting up a 20’ LED screen, we turn the lawn space into an ultimate summer film experience. WIFF will screen 23 films including festival favourites, summer blockbusters, and Canadian programming among others.

Bring your blankets and chairs, friends and family, and enjoy a weekend of amazing movies. Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase, including popcorn from What’s Poppin’, and soda from the Soda Pop Bros, two local businesses.
